About Us
Fulshear Ranch Academy provides evidence-based treatment and experiential transition services for young women on the cusp of independence. Each young woman’s experience at Fulshear begins on a beautiful, serene equestrian ranch with a program of intensive treatment. Our treatment approach is designed specifically to meet the complex needs of young women struggling with behavioral or emotional issues. Over time, each Fushear student takes on more independence and autonomy until she is ready to transition to supported apartment living in the vibrant town of Sugar Land. This is the final phase before our young women graduate to independence and adulthood, also known as “real life.”
Fulshear is designed to facilitate whole-family healing so that young women can step into a life of healthy independence with as much support as possible. We are committed to restoring hope in the lives of those we serve.
As with our parent company, InnerChange, and our sister programs, Sunrise Residential Treatment Program and New Haven Residential Treatment Center, our mission for each young person in our care is simple: to provide a healing experience that sets them on a course for independence and lifelong success. Healing is a Family Process...
Our programs wrap support around the whole family to ensure that changes made in treatment endure. InnerChange programs provide the most robust set of family services in the treatment industry, including visits, family therapy, and extensive whole-family preparation for the young person’s transition back home or to independence.
The Less Time in Treatment, the Better...
We believe that families should spend as little time in treatment as is necessary to reap lasting change, so our program is designed to be a final treatment stop, instead of the first of many. Many of today’s treatment programs are designed as one step in a two or three-step process. By providing a fast paced, challenging program of graduated treatment, “brief therapies,” and robust experiential learning, Fulshear is designed to function as a complete solution. As a result, our students are often able to step from Fulshear directly into a healthy and independent life of their own design.
